Nice work... No, really.
Okay first let’s start with a little bit of education about politics as they stand in Australia. Firstly in Australian politics we have two houses, the upper and lower houses or the House of Representatives and the Senate. The purpose of this was to allow each separate law to pass through both houses before it become official obviously to stop the people in power from making laws that adversely affect the people of the country. This is based off the British system which has the House of Lords and the House of Commons. Obviously the House of Commons or the senate was put into place to keep the upper house “lords” from becoming greedy and selfish and making laws to support it. The object of the senate is to govern for the people so why the fuck did the Australian public decide to let one single party control the House of Reps and the Senate?!?

Now it does not take a smart person to know that allowing one single party to be able to create and then pass laws is a really fucking bad idea. However for those who are slow of understanding, the majority of the Australian public obviously, I am going to show you a few examples. Telstra, sold, unfair dismissal laws, gone and that is just the start. Did you happen to like Medicare? Well do not get overly attached to it, it would not be surprising to see the current government abolish it and now they can without a problem. The people of this country have given the Liberal government unlimited power to do anything they please for the next 3 years and believe me, 3 years is a long time when you can do anything. The ironic part about all this is that I am part of the minority of Australian people who the Liberal government seems to govern for so I am pretty safe. However I am part of a minority and as most of my friends are part of the majority I am still going to say a big fuck you to Australia.

I wonder how it feels to be duped into voting for a party, I wonder how it stands knowing that you were so afraid of shadows that you would jump into bed with the devil. Fear does seem to control the masses, fear of a figment, and fear of a threat that may or may not exist. But then, it was the current government who put us at risk in the first place. Oh well, I hope you enjoy your mistake, Australia, I know I shall.
